Umi Nur is a London-based photographer whose work has been published and exhibited, reflecting a career dedicated to creating thoughtful, engaging imagery across a range of photographic disciplines. She studied Photography at Norwich University of the Arts and has been working professionally through UmiLight Photography since 2010.

The name UmiLight is inspired by her surname, Nur, which means “light”. More than a name, it reflects a central element of her photographic approach: an appreciation for light not only as a technical tool, but as a way of shaping atmosphere, revealing character, and bringing depth to an image.
